YouTube brings back the evil in schools
Stop. Open any reasonably polemic video on YouTube and notice how people are taking pleasure in debating fiercely about any and everything. This reminds me of those torturing days in school when the social pariahs shivered at the thought of raising a trembling hand and asking questions to the teacher amidst those evil bloodsniffing peers. You know who you are: the person who spent a good few minutes trying to figure a clever and spontaneous way to ask the most trivial question, because otherwise the hounds would jump at your neck and make you regret ever being born.
Any slightly bold remark on YouTube is batted away with an angry response, which makes me feel like I'm in High-school again and that I can't just say what I think because that will eventually fall into a pool of judgement. And the fact that those haters are in the comfort of the faceless world wide web anonymity just makes their comments all the more hurtful.
